
Turn the classic American deli sandwich into a share-friendly slab topped with bubbling cheese.
Ingredients
⅓ cup creme fraiche
1 tbsp American mustard
½ cup grated Swiss cheese
½ cup grated mozzarella
¼ tsp caraway seeds
1 medium crusty loaf, halved lengthways
250g store-bought corned beef, thinly sliced
1 cup sauerkraut, drained
seeded mustard, to serve
pickles, to serve
Method
1. Preheat the grill to high. Mix together the creme fraiche, mustard, cheeses and caraway seeds and season with plenty of cracked black pepper.
2. Place the bread halves on a large oven tray, cut sideup. Top with meat, sauerkraut and cheese mixture. Place under the grill and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.
3. Serve with seeded mustard and pickles.
